Terry Kemp (Dr. Trudeau) is happy to be a part of the ADK LAKES Theatre Festival's production of The Cure. He has been an active member of the Tri-Lakes theatre scene, both on and off stage, for many years. Past acting credits include roles in the North Country Ballet Ensemble's The Nutcracker, Pendragon Theatre’s productions of Christmas Cat and the Pudding Pirates, and 1984. Offstage, Terry is North Country Community College’s Academic Technology Coordinator. Terry would like to thank his family, fellow cast, and crew for their indulgence and patience..."This is a difficult process."
Laura-Jean Swanson (Lottie Trudeau) has several acting and directing credits from Mpls, MN and NYC. She has been associated with more than 30 Pendragon Theatre productions, and is a SUNY Plattsburgh Theatre Dept faculty prof. An Improv specialist, she recently lead sessions with Veterans and Teen groups. LJ also does production work through The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
Jason Brill (Dr. Loomis) is extremely happy to be working with George Cordes again and the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, and proud to be collaborating with this wonderful group to bring this project to life. Prior to moving to Saranac Lake in 2003 Jason’s most memorable credit was Max Prince (understudy) in the National Tour of Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor. Additionally while still in NYC he performed several roles in feature films, television and commercials. Mr. Brill could be seen performing in Off Broadway houses and houses way the hell off Broadway for much of his early career. Since arriving in the North Country he has been seen at Pendragon Theatre as Padre in Man of La Mancha, Beadle in Sweeney Todd, Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, as both Charlie and Froggie in The Foreigner, Teddy in Arsenic and Old Lace, Bellomy in the Fantasticks, and Myrtle the Mermaid in Christmas Cat and the Pudding Pirates. He was Shelly Levine in Glengarry Glen Ross at the Upper Jay Arts Center. For the Community Theatre Players Jason has performed the roles of the Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, and as Amos Hart in Chicago. Jason thanks his wife, Gail, for being his most ardent fan.
Laura Farrell (Margaret) is an actor-singer based in Cadyville, NY. She has a BA in Music with a minor in Theatre from SUNY Plattsburgh, and has been participating in theatre since 2010. Some of her favorite past roles include Darlene in Honky Tonk Angels (Pendragon), the title role in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (ADK LAKES Theatre Festival), and most recently Georgeanne in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (Artistry Community Theatre). Laura is thrilled to finally be part of The Cure again, after the pandemic canceled what would have been its premiere production in 2020 at Pendragon. She thanks her family for their support and her directors for this opportunity!
Sean Orman (Frank) is a graduate from SUNY New Paltz. He is excited to put The Cure on its feet after being cast as Frank when it was originally supposed to be produced at Pendragon, the summer before the world stood still. Especially since, as a Saranac Lake born and raised individual, the subject matter is doubly near and dear to his heart.
Megan Land (Cora) has been involved in theatre for over 30 years with credits both on and off the stage. Most recently you may have seen her as “The toast of Mayfair” Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Other recent roles include Lola in Damn Yankees, Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors and The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. Megan also acts as Co-Vice President for the local community theatre group, Artistry Community Theatre, based out of Keeseville, NY. When not on stage, Megan works as Lead Oncology Pharmacist at Adirondack Medical Center. Megan lives in Lake Clear with her husband, Pete, and the best dogs ever, Abby and Perry. On warm sunny days they can often be found walking, biking and swimming with dogs in tow. She also enjoys taking aimless adventure rides with her husband on their motorcycle. Megan would like to thank all the cast and crew who put this show together and her husband, Pete, for his love and support.
William Sandiford (Tyler) has been acting off and on, between children, work, coaching little league, and umpiring softball, for over 40 years. He has performed in New York City, Albany, and, once he landed in Long Lake, in as many productions as he can. He has previously appeared with the ADK LAKES Theatre Festival in productions of 2 Across (directed by Jordan Hornstein) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest, both directed by Karen Lordi-Kirkham. Since 2012, Bill has owned the ADK Trading Post in Long Lake, which recently moved to his sister’s former venue, Helm’s Village Store. He is married to Vickie (who some call Lobster Lady) and has two sons, Henry and Emmett.
