"ALCA-Seltzer Bears" by Sarah Price

We can't 'bear' to keep this much cuteness to ourselves! A fun and whimsical video made just for the Arts Center by central New York digital artist Sarah Price, whose artwork is now featured in our very first virtual art gallery! Watch the fascinating transformation from blank page, to pencil drawing, to finished illustration. For more of Sarah's artwork, go to www.ArtbySarahPrice.com

The "Paddle Ballet" from "Forever Wild" 2018

The "Paddle Ballet" is from the song and skit show "Forever Wild," a favorite production at the Arts Center for decades. The show, written, produced, and performed by local residents every two years, celebrates all things Adirondack. This hilarious number features Robin Jay, Jamie Strader, Jennifer Bine, and Barbara Westbrook during the first part (to Tchakovsky's "Swan Lake," of course). And be sure to watch the second part, which features Mike Corey in a rockin' Queen song! The 2020 production of "Forever Wild," originally scheduled for June 5 & 6, had to be postponed because of the COVID-19 crisis, but we hope to host performances again at the Arts Center when social distancing has been relaxed. Enjoy!

Jen Bine, COVID-19

Jennifer Bine, former Director of Interpretation at the Adirondack Experience museum in Blue Mountain Lake, NY, is a favorite performer/creative-team member of "Forever Wild," a biannual song and skit show presented at the Arts Center, and was one of our featured actors in the 2019 Adirondack Lakes Summer Theatre Festival! She has taken a familiar Steely Dan song and written new lyrics, putting a clever spin on it for our current situation. Thanks for being part of our series, Jen!

9 to 5: A COVID-19 parody

This very funny new parody of 9 to 5 (with apologies to Dolly Parton!) was written by Mary Leach (longtime local music teacher, "Forever Wild" performer, and Arts Center Board member) and performed by Katy Cole, music teacher at Johnsburg (NY) Central Schools. Filmed by Andy Cole. Thanks to all three!

"Yesterday" with Mary Leach

Featuring Arts Center Board Member Mary Leach, poking fun at our strange reality with her rendition of the Beatles tune, "Yesterday", with a guest appearance by her husband, Tim Leach.

"Effective Social Distancing"

Featuring Artistic Director George Cordes, with his wife, Elizabeth on piano, and their children, Annachristi and Noah, singing chorus:
