The Durham County Poets are a dynamic and versatile band whose music transcends genres, weaving together Blues, Soul, Folk, R&B, and Gospel to create a signature Canadiana sound. Formed in Ormstown, Quebec, their journey from a humble café to stages across Canada and the United States has been marked by their infectious energy and heartfelt songwriting.
Led by charismatic vocalist Kevin Harvey, the band features Carl Rufh on bass, Rob Couture on drums, Rob MacDonald on guitar, and Mark Leclerc on tenor saxophone, with frequent appearances by saxophonist Kaven Jalbert. This talented group has captivated audiences with their JUNO-nominated album Hand Me Down Blues and their 2022 release Out of the Woods, which earned critical acclaim and top spots on best album lists.
