About the event
Bixby Kennedy is one of today’s most versatile and accomplished clarinetists, admired for his warm, resonant tone and dynamic artistry. A featured soloist with orchestras such as the Minnesota Orchestra, Houston Symphony, and New Haven Symphony, Bixby has graced some of the world’s most iconic stages, including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Alice Tully Hall.
As a chamber musician, he performs with the renowned New York City-based ensemble Frisson and has appeared with prestigious groups like the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Bixby also brings historical authenticity to classical repertoire through performances on period instruments with Grand Harmonie Orchestra.
Beyond the stage, Bixby is a passionate teaching artist, sharing his expertise across the U.S. His arrangements have been performed by esteemed groups, including Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble Connect. When not performing, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new culinary adventures.
